At the heart of this position is our commitment to zero pollution, zero accident and Halal safe food product i.e. free from food safety hazards.
ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS)

This has become the global benchmark for providing assurance about the ability to satisfy quality requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships. Further this standard helps us on leadership engagement, addressing organizational risks and opportunities, addressing supply chain management and more user-friendly for service and knowledge-based organizations.
ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS)
We have implemented ISO 14001:2015 EMS to provide interested parties with an insight into MIPL’s policy on sustainable economic welfare, social values and environmental & quality. By means of this System, MIPL not only accounts for its policy but also provides input for a constructive dialogue with those who have an interest in a sustainable MIPL. These stakeholders include our customers, employees, shareholders and business partners, politicians and public authorities, residents and NGO’s. To minimize our negative impact on the environment, we have developed long-term objectives and short-term goals. By proper implementation of this standard, we achieve our expected result “Intended outcome” which are as under:
- Enhancement of environmental performance;
- Fulfillment of compliance obligations, and;
- Achievement of environmental objectives.
ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System (FSMS)
The standard has become necessary because of the significant increase of illnesses caused by infected food in both developed and developing countries. In addition to the health hazards, food-borne illnesses can give rise to considerable economic costs covering medical treatment, absence from work, insurance payments and legal compensation.
Food reaches consumers via supply chains that may link many different types of companies and may stretch across multiple borders. One weak link may result in unsafe food that is dangerous to health and if this happens, the hazards to consumers may be serious. ISO 22000:2018 FSMS is therefore helped us to allow within the food chain to implement a food safety management system. ISO 22000:2018 FSMS also make it easier for us to implement HCP/HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system for food hygiene as it incorporates the principles of HACCP.
ISO 22000:2018 FSMS provides a clear, auditable, global standard providing a framework to bring together all parts of our integrated management system (IMS), tests compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and our systems through internal audits and management reviews; demonstrates commitment to customer satisfaction ;improves our company’s image ;shows commitment to manage food safety hazards and risks; improves customer confidence ;integrates easily with ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system and improves recognition as a supplier of choice throughout the global food chain.
This international standard specifies the requirements for our food safety management system that combines the following generally recognized key elements to ensure food safety along the food chain, up to the point of final consumption:
- Interactive communication
- System management
- Prerequisite programmes
- HACCP principles
As the introduction of food safety hazards can occur at any stage of the food chain, so we have an adequate control throughout the food chain and ensured food safety through our effort in the food chain. The most effective food safety systems have been established, operated and updated within the framework of our structured management system and incorporated into the overall management activities of our company. This provides maximum benefit for us and interested parties.
ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system applies to all activities, which contribute to the presence of food-borne hazards to the safety of food and quality of the edible oils product, risks to personnel.
FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification GFSI Recognized Scheme
FSSC 22000 is a company-level certification based on a scheme developed by the Foundation for Food Safety Certification. The standard helps and provide us a strategic framework to manage food safety risks and meet the quality requirements for the entire food supply chain. The standard encompasses international and independent ISO standards that are accepted for food safety and quality across the world. Pre Requisite Program is the major component in the program.
As FSSC 22000 is a reliable, based on ISO standards and internationally recognized scheme of audit and certification of food safety management systems in the food supply chain this certification scheme absorbs ISO 22000 and with implementation of this scheme our internal management efficiency increased and save our time and resources. Continual improvement in the processes, therefore, faster growth. Standard risk and management practices and fewer chances of glitches. Our updated implemented FSSC 22000 Version 5.1 are compliance with the latest benchmarking requirements of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and strengthened our performance as part of continuous improvement.
It is a GFSI recognized standard that meets all its international requirements in the food industry and acquire a systematic and proven strategy to effectively identify and manage food safety risks and hazards, easily implemented with our other ISO standards like ISO 9001:2015 QMS, ISO 14001:2015 EMS, ISO 22000:2018 FSMS, ISO 45001:2018 OHSMS & PS:3733-2022 OIC/SMIIC 1 General Requirements for Halal Food (GRHF) etc.
ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System
We have successfully developed the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Management System, based on International Standards ISO 45001:2018 OHSMS that promote a safe and healthy workplace. Managing the spectrum of staff related risks in the workplace enables our company to provide safe and healthy workplaces, prevent work-related injury and ill health, and continually improve its OH&S performance.
The purpose of our OH&S management system is to provide a framework for managing OH&S risks and opportunities and to fulfill MIPL’s legal requirements and other requirements. The aim and intended outcomes of the OH&S management system are to prevent work related injury and ill health to workers and to provide safe and healthy workplaces.
The occupational health and safety management system provides us a recognizable health and safety management standard and we determinate our current health and safety activities and develop programs and systems that focus on the elimination of risk to staff and other interested parties. These processes are then developed into a management system that seeks to ensure that health and safety performance are continuously monitored and improved. Apart from in-house audits and inspection, our facilities are also inspected by third parties.
At the heart of this position is our commitment to zero pollution, zero accidents and zero occupational illness cases.
PS:3733-2022 OIC/SMIIC 1 General Requirements for Halal Food (GRHF)
Islamic Law has given clear guidance in respect of Halal (lawful) and Haraam (Unlawful) based on the teachings of the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah (Teachings of the Holy Prophet Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam).
What is Halal (permissible) is declared from the Qur’anic injunctions and Muslims are commanded to strictly adhere to these injunctions in all aspects of life.
Almighty Allah Taála says, “People of Imaan! Eat of the pure things (Halal) that we have provided for you, and be grateful to Allah Taála” (Surah Baqarah 2:172)
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) has declared, “Whatever Allah Taála has declared lawful in His Book (Noble Qur’an is lawful, and whatever He has declared unlawful is unlawful, and whatever He remained silent about is forgiven. Then accept those bounties of Allah because Allah does not forget anything”.
Consumption of any morsel of Haraam, affects the acceptance of Ibaadat (worship).
Keeping in view the golden teachings of the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah we have successfully developed the implementation of halal food management system; as it is clear in this system Islamic law refer to commonly accepted rules and beliefs of Islam, regardless of variations in different countries/sects. All the Muslims are bound to follow their respective schools of thought.
This system provides a systematic approach to ensure and preserve halal integrity of food products. This halal food management system further guides us to understand the term Halal and Haraam.
Halal: Lawful and Permissible / can be used.
Haraam: Unlawful and Impermissible / abstain from it / totally forbidden.
Consumer confidence is based upon our detailed understanding, documented audit trials and the independent inspection of the systems and processes that are in place to ensure product integrity at all stages of the supply chain, that the “SHAN BANASPATI’’ and “SHAN COOKING OIL’ ’are halal and the potential risk of cross contamination is removed.
Being ISO 9001: 2015 QMS, ISO 14001: 2015 EMS, FSSC 22000 GFSI Recognized Scheme, ISO 22000: 2018 FSMS, ISO 45001:2018 OHSMS and PS:3733-2022 OIC/SMIIC 1 General Requirements for Halal Food (GRHF) certified company we believe in becoming a total quality oriented and halal safe food products oriented company by reducing the incidence of unsafe food products entering in the marketplace.
All our Halal safe food products are prepared under the strict supervision of our valuable skilled and qualified professionals to demonstrate to our customers an ability to prepare halal safe food products of a specified quality under a certified integrated management system, which is auditable by an independent third party certification body.
